Working On My Blog!

I just took a two day workshop from SDE called Techie Boot Camp for Teachers. It was so great. It definitely got me motivated to try to create my blog. The whole tech world is so fascinating and teachers have so much creativity to share. I am excited to develop this part of my world!

The art work above is the poster art for the 2013 Read Aloud Day! Can you resist those cute critters?
Read Aloud Day! Look on the right hand side of the Lit World website to find out more. There are great ideas, links, etc. to motivate your students to read, read, read!

Interesting Websites!

Part of my classes this week have led me to interesting websites for educators. Some of these you may know about or maybe they are new to you too. In either case I hope you enjoy checking them out!

I found this search for ways for primary students to draw bears. This site shows a step by step process that all students can follow because you the play button only shows how to draw what you pick one small step at a time. You can replay that portion or hit the play button to continue. Some pictures are harder than others but I know my first and second graders will enjoy the panda bear and some of my advanced artists will enjoy the regular bear link. DRAW ON!

Welcome to My Blog!

I am developing this blog as part of a class I am taking at Harvard University through edtechteacher.org  This is the second class I have participated in this week. It has been a lot of fun and I am learning a lot.
